Pop Up — Privacy Policy

Pop Up ("Pop Up," "we," "us") operates the Pop Up mobile app, which helps people discover local pop-up markets and the vendors at them. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email support@popupanalytics.app.
The short version
- You can browse Pop Up without an account. Most of the app works as a guest.
- We collect the minimum we need: account details only if you create an account, and your approximate location only while you're using the app to show nearby markets.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking (no ad networks, no analytics SDKs, no IDFA).
- You can delete your account and personal information from inside the app at any time.
What we collect
If you create an account, we collect the information you provide:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number (if you provide one)
- A password (stored only as a secure hash; we never see your actual password)
Location. If you grant permission, the app uses your device's location while the app is in use to center the map and show markets near you. Location is used on-device to query nearby markets; we do not store a history of your location or share it with third parties. You can decline location and still use the app — it falls back to a default area.
Saved favorites. Markets and vendors you "save" are stored on your device and are not sent to our servers.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, or background location, and the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising.
How we use information
- To provide the core service: showing markets and vendors, and letting you manage an account if you choose to create one.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
- To keep the service secure and operational.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
How information is shared
- Public listings. If you participate in Pop Up as a host or vendor, the business information you publish (such as a project name, vendor name, bio, and catalog) is shown to other users as part of the marketplace. Your private account details (email, phone) are not publicly browsable.
- Service providers. We use infrastructure providers to host the app's backend (for example, cloud hosting and database services). They process data only to operate the service on our behalf.
- We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. When you do:
- Your personal information is removed or anonymized (name, email, phone), and your login is disabled.
- Business records you published as a host or vendor (such as past projects and de-identified performance history) may be retained as anonymized marketplace records that are no longer linked to you personally.
To request deletion or ask a privacy question another way, email support@popupanalytics.app.
Children
Pop Up is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
- Location: grant or revoke anytime in your device Settings.
- Account: create or delete anytime in the app.
- Contact us: email support@popupanalytics.app with any request.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll change the "Last updated" date above when we do.
